Bamse

The world’s strongest bear 🐻

A strong and kind bear

When Bamse eats Grandma’s thunder honey, he becomes the world’s strongest bear. He is also the world’s kindest bear and helps everyone who needs help, friends and enemies alike.

Bamse is spontaneous and curious. He is married to Brummelisa and together they have four children. The triplets Nalle-Maja, Teddy, Brum and the youngest Brumma. When Bamse is not working in the forest, he is often out on adventures with his best friends Lille Skutt and Skalman.

At Funnys Äventyr you can find Bamse’s boat Viktoria, Little Skutt’s carrot land and Skalman’s shed. Bamse as a character visits us on special occasions. Keep an eye on our social media for more info on when he visits!

Teddy bear moments since 1966

For six decades, Bamse has entertained and educated

Always on the children’s side, on the children’s terms. Bamse’s moral compass clearly points to goodness and camaraderie being far more important than strength. And he shows time and again that by working together, you can make the world a better place.

Bamse is safe and always protects the weak.

Bamse’s creator

Rune Andréasson

Rune Andréasson was born in Gothenburg on August 11, 1925. On his first birthday, Rune received a teddy bear as a birthday present. The beloved teddy bear inspired him to create the many serial teddies that eventually became the teddy bear we know today as “BAMSE – the world’s strongest bear”. In 1966, children could read about Bamse for the first time, watch Bamse films and do crafts in Bamse’s school booklet. Rune wanted to give children both adventure and knowledge.
