Funny is a brave and curious girl, who lives in a red house in the Äppelgränd neighborhood. Funny has magic fingers. When she snaps with them, anything can happen. Funny likes to go on adventures and easily makes new friends during his antics.
In the fairy tale world, you will find Funny’s Garden. Here is the old oak that you can crawl into. But watch out for spiders if you’re scared! Behind the old oak is a staircase that leads up to a cozy tree house. From there you can then ride the fast slide down to the anthill The red ants are extra large in Funny’s Garden!

Magical Fingers
The book Magical Fingers contains three stories about Funny: The Old Oak, The Mysterious Anthill, and The Abandoned House.
In the first story, we meet Funny as she desperately searches for her gold locket that she lost somewhere in the garden. Maybe next to the old oak tree? What if all you have to do is snap your fingers and the medallion will come flying? She tries her thumb and middle finger and snap! Suddenly, she is able to speak to the oak tree, who suggests that she go exploring inside the tree to look for the locket. Inside, she meets a collection of restless glowworms, a deadly spider and a helpful mouse
Funny is a tough girl who is not afraid of adventure. And of course she can handle the dangers of the story, which is told in a magical realist style.
The other country
There is two stories in this book.
In the first story, The Other Country, Funny ends up in the country of Limitania, populated by strange people. There she loses her magical ability and is mistaken for a beast called a trolliin. Her only way to get back home is to help the Limitians banish the Trolliins from the land.
In the second story, Chin-Wha and the Tracks in the Snow, Funny meets the boy Chin-Wha who has run away from his stepfather. With the help of Funny’s magic fingers, the children make their way across the ocean to look for Chin-Wha’s real father. Once there, they encounter both evil and good, a dangerous snake and a childish ruler.
Humble the bumblebee 🐝
One of Funny’s friends is a small and humble bumblebee, Humble the bumblebee.
The Little Bumblebee takes listeners and viewers on a journey through the magic of nature with themes of friendship, loneliness, being shy and daring to go on adventures, often with unexpected conflicts.

Staffan Götestam is an actor, director, producer and playwright and is behind many well-known theater and musical productions. The role of Jonatan in the film Bröderna Lejonhjärta led to a long-term collaboration with Astrid Lindgren and several productions based on her books.
