Old man Pettson has a cat called Findus
They live in a small house in the country among fields and meadows and forests. He also has some chickens and sometimes a neighbor can be seen. Findus wants to be with Pettson almost constantly.
At Funnys Äventyr, you step straight into the world of Pettson and Findus. Pettson is probably in the workshop, tinkering with some invention. Or he feeds the chickens. Findus is probably hiding out in the old outhouse. Or he jumps in the hay. Or riding the bull…

We hear the story of when Findus came to Pettson as a little kitten, we bake pancake cake, scare the fox, try to cheer up Pettson when he is in a bad mood, celebrate Christmas, cackle with the chickens in the vegetable garden, camp in the wooden yard, build a Santa machine, try get the rooster to stop crowing and jumping endlessly on the bed.

Sven Nordqvist
Sven Nordqvist was born in 1946 in Helsingborg and has drawn and painted all his life. In addition to the books and Pettson and Findus, Sven has also illustrated the books about Mamma Mu, Agaton Öman and Alfabetet and Vägen hem, among other things.
