Old man Pettson has a cat named Findus.
They live in a small house in the country among fields and meadows and forests. He also has some chickens and sometimes you see a neighbor. Findus wants to be with Pettson almost all the time, and he gets that very willingly.
At Funnys Äventyr you step straight into Pettson and Findus’ world. Pettson is probably in the workshop tinkering with some invention. Or he’s feeding the chickens. Findus is probably hiding in the old toilet. Or he’s jumping in the hay. Or riding the bull…

We hear the story of when Findus came to Pettson as a little kitten, we bake pancake cake, scare the fox, try to cheer up Pettson when he’s in a bad mood, celebrate Christmas, cluck with the chickens in the vegetable garden, pitch tents in the garden, build a Santa machine, try to get the rooster to stop crowing and jump endlessly in bed.

Sven Nordqvist was born in 1946 in Helsingborg and has drawn and painted all his life. In addition to the books and Pettson and Findus, Sven has also illustrated the books about Mamma Mu, Agaton Öman and the Alphabet and The Way Home, among others.
